Scan check

Add your details and the scan check runs on your exact design: five conditions, a real decoder, before you download.

PNG for screens, Canva and Word. SVG for anything a print shop will touch. PDF is the code at a fixed width, print it at 100%, not “fit to page”.

Free static codes are how people find us. We earn only when someone needs an editable code (€10 a year or €29 for good). Nothing you type is sent anywhere: the code is made in your browser.

Dot shape

Square

Advanced: dot size, margin, error correction

Higher error correction lets the code survive a logo, a picture or a scuffed print, but adds dots. We switch to H for you when a picture or a big logo comes in. Keep the margin at 2 dots or more for anything printed.

This is a static code: the link is baked into the dots and works without us, for as long as the link itself exists. Need to change it after printing? Editable codes, from €10.

PNG codes blur when scaled. An SVG QR code is geometry, so it prints crisp at any size and can be recoloured, re-stroked or cut on a vinyl plotter or laser. Every design here exports to SVG: dot shapes, gradients, frames and the text in them, the logo (embedded), even picture codes.

The file uses one path for the data dots, one for the eye frames and one for the eye centres, which makes it easy to restyle in Illustrator or Figma without touching the layout. Frame text is real text in a common font so your designer can swap it.

For a laser cutter or an engraving, use the Square dot shape with Connected or Square eyes and a solid fill; the fewer separate islands, the cleaner the cut. Keep the quiet zone.

Questions

Is the SVG free to use commercially?

Yes. Your QR codes are yours, for any use.

Why does the frame font look different in my editor?

The SVG names a common font family (Inter, Helvetica, Georgia or a monospace) so it opens anywhere. Your editor substitutes if the exact font is missing; convert the text to outlines before sending to print if it matters.
