About qrhue

qrhue is made by Avlas Digital, a small independent studio in Claremorris, Co. Mayo, Ireland, that builds focused web tools. We got tired of QR code generators that hide a subscription behind a free button and let printed codes die when the card lapses, and of design options that produce codes nobody can scan.

What we set out to do

• Make static codes free with no account, no watermark and no expiry, generated entirely in the browser so your content never reaches us.
• Build design options on the structure of the code rather than painting over it: a picture between the dots, shapes that respect the finder patterns, outlines that keep the quiet zone.
• Test every design with a real decoder before download, the way a phone will see it.
• Sell the one thing that costs money to run, a redirect you can change later, for one fair payment instead of a subscription.

How the site is paid for

By lifetime editable codes, and in future possibly by a small amount of advertising on the free pages. Never by selling data: the generator does not have any to sell.
