qrhue

Change the link after printing. No subscription.

An editable code is a short link on qrhue.com baked into the dots. You decide where it goes, today and in ten years. When a code has done its job, delete it and make a new one in its place for free. Pay for a year or pay once for good; either way nothing renews by itself and no printed code dies because a card expired.

Buy in my account

Need several codes live at once? Buy up to 10 slots in one go, on either plan. A yearly slot can be switched to lifetime later for the lifetime price.

Prices are without VAT. VAT at your country’s rate is added at checkout and shown before you pay (23% in Ireland, so a yearly slot is €12.30 there and a lifetime one €35.67). Payment and receipt are handled by Stripe, no card details touch qrhue. Buying happens in your account: log in with your email, pick a year or lifetime and how many slots, pay. Static codes on the generator are free now and stay free.

What the two plans mean here

Lifetime: redirects run for at least 10 years from purchase, and for as long as qrhue exists after that. If qrhue ever closes, you get 12 months’ notice by email and a free export of every redirect, so you can point your printed codes elsewhere. Paid once, never re-billed.

One year: runs 12 months from payment. We email you 30, 7 and 1 day before the end; nothing is charged without you. After the end date the code keeps redirecting for 30 days, then scans see a “not active” page. Pay for another year within 365 days and everything comes back as it was; after that the slot is retired. The same words are in the terms.

The maths against a subscription

The usual dynamic-code plan costs between €5 and €15 a month and must stay active for as long as the print exists. A menu code printed on table tents that last three years costs €180 to €540 over its life, and dies the month you stop. The same code here is €29 + VAT once, or €10 + VAT a year while you need it.

Subscription figures are the public monthly prices of the largest dynamic-QR services as listed on their own pricing pages in October 2026, multiplied by 36 months. We re-check them every quarter.

If you own a domain and can set up a redirect yourself, do that instead: it is free and it is yours. Editable codes are for everyone who cannot or would rather not. The static vs dynamic guide has the full picture.

Questions

Year or lifetime, which one?

A year (€10 + VAT) suits a code you need for a season, an event or a trial run. Lifetime (€29 + VAT, once) pays for itself in the third year and is the right choice for anything printed on a wall, a van or a menu that will be around for a while. You can switch a yearly slot to lifetime at any time for the lifetime price.

Does the yearly slot renew by itself?

No. We keep no card and never charge again without you. We email you 30, 7 and 1 day before the year ends. If you do nothing, the code keeps redirecting for 30 more days, then scans see a short "not active" page instead of your link. Pay for another year within 365 days of the end date and the code, its look and its statistics come straight back. After that the slot is gone for good.

How can a lifetime redirect be so cheap?

A redirect costs a fraction of a cent per scan and nothing when nobody scans. The lifetime fee covers decades of that. Subscription prices elsewhere pay for dashboards, sales teams and the lock-in, not the redirect.

What if qrhue shuts down?

Lifetime redirects run for as long as qrhue exists and for at least 10 years from your purchase. If we ever had to close, every owner gets 12 months’ notice by email, redirects keep working through that year, and you can export every code with its destination at any time. A printed qrhue link cannot be moved to another domain, so use that year to reprint. Static codes made on this site do not depend on us at all, which is why we recommend them whenever the destination is stable.

What is a slot?

A slot holds one editable code. Buy it for a year or for good, put a code in it, print the code, change its link whenever you like. Done with that code? Delete it and the slot is empty again for a brand-new code, with a new short link and a new look, at no charge. You pay for the number of codes you need live at the same time, not for every code you ever make.

Is there a scan limit?

No. Unlimited scans, unlimited destination changes, unlimited redesigns of the look.

Can I see analytics?

Scans per day, how many different phones scanned, the country and whether it was an iPhone or Android. That is the whole list. We never store an IP address or follow a person from one day to the next, and crawlers and chat-app link previews are left out of the count. If you need per-city heat maps and retargeting, a subscription service is a better fit.

What if the page behind my code goes down?

We fetch every destination once a day. If a page keeps answering with an error, you get one email with the code, the link and the error, so you can fix it before the print sends many people to a dead page. No email while everything works.

Can I give a code to someone else?

Yes. From the account page you offer the code to another email address; the moment they log in it is theirs, slot included. Handy when a business or a role changes hands.

Can I move a code I already printed from another provider?

No. Those dots contain the other provider’s domain and only they can forward it. You can decode it with our scan test, make a lifetime code to the same destination, and reprint.

Refunds?

Within 14 days of any payment (a new slot, a renewal, a switch to lifetime) if the code in that slot has had no scans since. Once scans have started it has done its job.
