Event QR code generator

A scan offers "Add to calendar" with the title, time and place already in. Fewer no-shows from people who meant to write it down.

Free, no sign-up, no expiry. Generated in your browser.

Scan check

Add your details and the scan check runs on your exact design: five conditions, a real decoder, before you download.

PNG for screens, Canva and Word. SVG for anything a print shop will touch. PDF is the code at a fixed width, print it at 100%, not “fit to page”.

Free static codes are how people find us. We earn only when someone needs an editable code (€10 a year or €29 for good). Nothing you type is sent anywhere: the code is made in your browser.

Dot shape

Rounded

Advanced: dot size, margin, error correction

Higher error correction lets the code survive a logo, a picture or a scuffed print, but adds dots. We switch to H for you when a picture or a big logo comes in. Keep the margin at 2 dots or more for anything printed.

This is a static code: the link is baked into the dots and works without us, for as long as the link itself exists. Need to change it after printing? Editable codes, from €10.

The code carries a small calendar entry (an iCalendar VEVENT) with the fields you enter. iPhones open it in Calendar; on Android the behaviour depends on the camera app, with Google Lens and most Samsung phones offering to add it.

Times are stored in UTC and shown in the scanner’s local time zone, so a 7 pm start in Dublin is still 7 pm for a guest in Dublin. Add the venue in Location so it links to maps.

For an invitation card, pair the event code with a second code for the RSVP or the photo album: one code should do one thing.

Questions

Does an event QR code work on Android?

On most phones yes, through Google Lens or the Samsung camera. A few camera apps show the raw text instead. If your guests are mostly on Android, consider linking to a calendar page instead.

Can I include a link in the event?

Put it in the description. Most calendar apps make it tappable.
