Scan me QR code with a frame

A frame with the right four words doubles scans. Pick a shape, type your line, done.

Free, no sign-up, no expiry. Generated in your browser.

Sample code. Add your content on the left.

Scan check

Add your details and the scan check runs on your exact design: five conditions, a real decoder, before you download.

PNG for screens, Canva and Word. SVG for anything a print shop will touch. PDF is the code at a fixed width, print it at 100%, not “fit to page”.

Free static codes are how people find us. We earn only when someone needs an editable code (€10 a year or €29 for good). Nothing you type is sent anywhere: the code is made in your browser.

Outline shape

Frame and call to action

This is a static code: the link is baked into the dots and works without us, for as long as the link itself exists. Need to change it after printing? Editable codes, from €10.

A bare QR code asks people to guess what happens. A frame answers the question in their head: "Scan for the menu", "Leave us a review", "Join our Wi-Fi", "See the photos". Specific beats generic: "Scan me" is better than nothing, "Order here" is better than "Scan me".

Seven frame styles: label below, label above, speech bubble, badge, ticket, phone, or none. Set the frame colour, text colour and one of four font families. The frame scales with the code so the text stays readable, and the whole thing exports as one SVG, PNG or PDF.

Frames also protect the quiet zone, the clear band around the code that decoders need, so a framed code placed next to other graphics is safer than a bare one.

Questions

Does the frame affect scanning?

No. The frame sits outside the quiet zone. The scan check runs on the framed design, so you can see for yourself.

Can I use my own font?

The frame text is real text in the SVG, so a designer can change the font in any vector editor before print.
